Therefore\, we are breaking Career Connections into five intentional sessions to focus on specific industries and their unique needs. Those five categories include:\n \n\n Trade (September 7)\n\n Education (September 14)\n\n Hospitality / Retail (September 21)\n\n Medical / Health (September 28)\n\n Finance / Insurance (October 5)\n \n\nIn addition to networking\, these program days are designed to be educational\, including a panel discussion from industry professionals who can share about the various opportunities in each industry. \n \n\nWe have also provided time for networking and one-on-one interaction between potential employers and job seekers.\n \n\nThe primary objectives of Career Connections are:\n\n To bring awareness of job opportunities in the community.\n\n To educate others on specific fields who have a high demand and need for employees.\n\n To connect employers with job seekers.\n\n \n\nThe series will follow the same basic agenda:\n \n\n2 - 3:30 PM Vendor Set Up\n\n4 PM Check in / Networking\n\n4:30 PM Welcome / Introduction (5 minutes)\n\n4:35 PM Introduction to the field / overview of the opportunities (10 minutes) \n\n4:45 PM Panel Discussion (30 minutes)\n\n5:15 PM Refreshments / Networking / Meet Vendors\n\n6 PM Event Ends\n \n\nCareer Connections will be hosted at the Historic Broyhill.
