DESCRIPTION:We know the job marketing has significantly changed in the last few years. The Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Shallow Ford Foundation to create a unique series of events to connect employers with candidates who have a specific interest in specific industries. Click here to download the flyer.\n \n\nTo be clear Career Connections is NOT a job fair. We recognize that not all industries are going to attract the same audience. Therefore\, we are breaking Career Connections into five intentional sessions to focus on specific industries and their unique needs. Those five categories include:\n \n\n Trade (September 7)\n\n Education (September 14)\n\n Hospitality / Retail (September 21)\n\n Medical / Health (September 28)\n\n Finance / Insurance (October 5)\n \n\nIn addition to networking\, these program days are designed to be educational\, including a panel discussion from industry professionals who can share about the various opportunities in each industry. \n \n\nWe have also provided time for networking and one-on-one interaction between potential employers and job seekers.\n \n\nThe primary objectives of Career Connections are:\n\n To bring awareness of job opportunities in the community.\n\n To educate others on specific fields who have a high demand and need for employees.\n\n To connect employers with job seekers.\n\n \n\nThe series will follow the same basic agenda:\n \n\n2 - 3:30 PM Vendor Set Up\n\n4 PM Check in / Networking\n\n4:30 PM Welcome / Introduction (5 minutes)\n\n4:35 PM Introduction to the field / overview of the opportunities (10 minutes) \n\n4:45 PM Panel Discussion (30 minutes)\n\n5:15 PM Refreshments / Networking / Meet Vendors\n\n6 PM Event Ends\n \n\nCareer Connections will be hosted at the Historic Broyhill. If you are interested in having a vendor presence at Career Connections\, please contact Denise Heidel at Denise@Lewisville-Clemmons.com. Vendor participation is FREE for Chamber members\, or $50 for non-members. Additionally\, sponsorship opportunities are available. \n\n\n\nFEE STRUCTURE:\n\nSeries Sponsor (all five program dates): $500\n\nIndustry Day: $150 per day\n\n\n\nVendor Fees:\n\nFor Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce Members: $0.00\n\nFor non-Chamber Members: $50.00\n\n\n\nJob Seekers: $0.00\n\n\n\n\n\n**Any additional sponsorship funds from Career Connections will be donated to the Mason Hunter Scholarship fund.
