DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our October meeting sponsored by Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center.\nDespite the gains American women have made in leadership positions in recent years\, the voices we hear in public discussion   whether in politics\, business or the media   are still mostly male. Male perspectives\, male priorities\, male narratives predominate.\n\nWhy does this matter? What is it that holds women back? And why should both women and men care about this?  Biographer\, business reporter and journalism professor Anna Rubino will address these questions\, with perspectives on how business professionals may sharpen their gender lens and help broaden the range of voices in public leadership.\nThe caterer will be Panera Bread. The menu will include your choice between four sandwiches (bacon turkey bravo\, ham\, beef\, and veggie)\, two salads (Fuji apple with chicken and garden)\, chips\, assorted cookies\, sweet and unsweetened tea\, and water. Lunch cost will be $10 for members and guests.
